This iconic year in musical history brought us Bowie’s seminal Heroes record from the electrified streets of Berlin, Richard Hell’s spastic Blank Generation alongside many other frantic CBGB releases like Television’s Marquee Moon, Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life, and the Ramones’ Rocket to Russia. Talk about a year of talent. The world became acquainted with Rumours, arguably one of the best releases of the century by none other than Fleetwood Mac. Pink Floyd released Animals, Steely Dan premiered Aja, the Grateful Dead Terrapin Station.
