BILK @ OMEARA

British Indie trio Bilk took to the stage in London’s Omeara for their headline show and wow, was it wild!

The crowd chanted for the band to take the stage with “we want Bilk” while we geared up for a crazy show. As we spoke to fans in the audience, they said they’d found the band through former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson’s “Away From Home” festival in 2021.

Starting the show with their song “Fashion” from their debut self-titled album that was released earlier this month, Bilk delivered a high energy, deafening loud intro. The crowd moshed, the lights flashed, a giant inflatable football was thrown around and we knew this show was one to remember.

Dedicating “Be Someone” to the crowd, guitarist Sol Abrahams shredded as bassist Luke Hare danced around, and Harry Gray smashed the drums. The crowd went wild, moshing to the beat before the band abruptly stopped the show and all the house lights came on. The crowd parted as two guys who had started a fight in the pit were told to leave by the band and this was all in the first 15 minutes!

While the crowd calmed down a bit, the band played a song called “10 O’Clock” with a slower tempo, before bringing the energy back up with “Part & Parcel”.

The trio from Essex gave us raw energy, 2000s indie vibes and we can’t wait to see them again!
