Griff @ The Roundhouse

British star Griff rocked the stage at The Roundhouse in London, wrapping up her Vertigo Vol.2 tour with a vibrant finale! The venue was buzzing before she even took the stage, as fans sang along to her playlist consisting of Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and other pop girlies.

Starting her set off in darkness, Griff emerged from the back of the stage, pulling down banners revealing the tour name, her name, and then spray painting the location and date of her final show. The cheers from the crowd were deafening, and, as she began with her hit-single “Black Hole”, I knew I was in for a treat.

Covering every inch of the stage, Griff was mesmerising in her tan leather co-ord outfit and her iconic braids. She took the crowd through some of her older tracks like “Shade of Yellow” and “Earl Grey Tea” before moving to the middle of the crowd and teasing her audience with an acoustic cover of “Blank Space” where I could barely hear her over everyone singing along. She played another track called “So Fast”, but she hasn’t released it because she said it feels “too folky” - I loved it and hope she changes her mind about this.

As she performed “One Night”, a mirrored dance partner appeared on stage, and they performed the choreography from the music video together; their slick performance was entrancing.

Ending with her hit single “Vertigo”, Griff vowed she’d be back after telling the audience how excited she was to be performing at a hometown show. Her new EP ver2igo vol. 2 is out now, you can stream it here.
